At Excentia Human Services, we are passionate about seeing your child grow and develop new skills. Through our ABA Clinic, every child receives customized, quality care from our team of dedicated and compassionate therapists.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based form of behavior therapy that has over 60 years of empirical research supporting its use in autism support and instruction. ABA therapy combines science and learning to help those with autism gain skills to live safer and more independent lives. This effective treatment can help increase a child’s adaptive behaviors, including language, communication, focus, self-care, and social skills. Excentia Human Services’ practice of ABA is informed by individualized assessment and customized for each learner by experienced clinicians.
On a deeper level, ABA can help behavior therapists understand the basics of a child’s behavior and address the root of it. Specifically, ABA analyzes how behavior works, how it is affected by the environment, and how the learning process best occurs for each child. Once these things are understood, a behavior analyst can apply how the child’s behavior works to real situations.
Our treatment planning and implementation are evaluated by continuous observation and feedback between staff and caregivers. It is also validated by yearly applications of the PDD BI (Pervasive Developmental Disorder Behavior Inventory), an assessment that evaluates how well the learner is responding to treatment and places the responsibility of progress in the hands of our clinicians. Each child’s personal program reflects years of expertise in Natural Teaching Strategies, Pivotal Response Training, Language Training, Social Skills Packages, and Parent Training.
At Excentia Human Services, we genuinely wish to see your child succeed. We are a local nonprofit that’s been serving Lancaster and the surrounding community for almost 60 years. If you are a qualifying family, our services will come at no cost to you. Our services accept government assistance, including medical assistance and Medicaid, private insurance, and provide sliding scale fees.

We take pride in our Children’s Center and ensure quality services through our highly-trained, direct care team. Supervision of our staff is comprehensive and extensive, under the oversight of our Clinical Director. All staff, regardless of their role, receive weekly on-site supervision, continuous mentoring, and feedback.
While this specific ABA therapy program is for children, our services are not limited to this age group. We are one of a few local providers that include complete life span services, even offering several programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
